Hey! I’m OtterForce!

If you found your way here, you probably caught me somewhere on social media or ran into me at an event. But here are the other places you can find me if you’d like.

I’ve been a self-employed web designer and software engineer for more than 15 years, with an emphasis on author websites and services for the past eight. These days, I’m enjoying playing with jamstacks and static sites. But I also have previously used WordPress extensively.

I have always dabbled off and on with writing. So the words you’ll find here are my own. The same goes with the photos. Though that’s been in the past 5 years or so, so it’s still a growing interest. Most photography will be a mix of food, macro, and street photography. None of it will be AI generated, all of it will include alt text.

I’ve been riding this orb full of ridiculous and wondrous inhabitants around the sun for 40ish years. I didn’t find out I was AuDHD until about the 37th trip. So there’s all of that I’m still unpacking while raising a family during the fall of empires in the hills of Western NY. We’re more likely to get stuck behind a horse and buggy than actual traffic, and I like it that way.

I’m also coming to terms with what gender, or a lack thereof, mean to me. And I’ve realized, it’s not much. So any pronouns will do. I often call myself a meatsack or a critter.

Finally, I’m finding my space in the struggle the past few years. I’m always looking for an interesting project, I think reconnecting with our food and rebuilding true community is the only way forward, and I think that hope is a muscle that you must build actively and with purpose.

I’m an avid reader of sci-fi novels. As I round out my book logs that’ll become more apparent. If you want to know about my favorite authors, you can also check the signal boost posts. There will likely be many there.

That’s about it. I think. Thanks for stopping by and even bigger thanks for peeking behind the curtain here a bit.
